Human Centered Design Expert, SAP

Job Description:
You will be part of new expert design team at SAP with a particular focus on innovative and user-centric design. You will work closely with solution management team for different enterprise applications to gain a holistic understanding of process flows and user roles to provide critical design solutions. You must demonstrate expertise in enterprise-level user interaction design, think on your feet and be able to rapidly translate business users' requirements into next generation approaches to UCD. You must be a go-getter with excellent communication skills, and be able to successfully lead a distributed team of UI and graphics designers.
You must be able provide leadership in developing new UCD methodologies and guidelines and participate in the evolution of UI technologies; coaching and mentoring teams; and defining new UCD approaches to promote high user satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Solid academic background in human-computer interaction or related field (BS or MS in Computer Science or related field a big plus).
Eight or more years experience doing data driven UI design in a high tech company.
Skills:
Experienced at taking a leadership role helping multiple teams through the process of translating user data and human-factors principles into UI designs. Expertise in prototyping methods and developing and maintaining UI guidelines for multiple product lines, including definition of corporate wide standards. Experience with driving the adoption of user profiles, use cases, and scenarios into a development lifecycle. Must have experience in leading teams in the areas of task analyses, field studies, formal UI reviews, usability tests, and surveys. Demonstrated ability to learn complex technology. Must be a solid team player with good writing, presentation and project management skills. Must be able to generate business cases and identify priorities based on customer data to influence teams and management. Experience with IDEs, system/DB administration tools, B2Bi, EAI, and enterprise software a plus
