Senior Voice User Interface Engineer, Vocent Solutions, Mountain View, CA
Opportunity for an experienced Voice User Interface Engineer to help define and design innovative authentication and security solutions using a combination of Vocent's proprietary security technology, commonly-available authentication tools, typical enterprise and commercial business best practices, and knowledge and data gained from the industry.
Job Description – Meets and works with customers to understand application requirements and design dialogs to meet their needs; designs new dialogs and prompts; manages entire prompt recording process, from voice talent coaching to prompt archiving; creates automated dialog tests; listens to calls; transcribes and encodes problems and results into a database, and guides others in similar activities; evaluates transcribed call data and identifies prompt and dialog problems as well as recognition and verification problems; performs system recognition and verification tuning; trains and instructs others in the group on these techniques; helps Client Services and Sales sell current solutions, explain current solutions to customers, and define new authentication solutions. Reports to Vice President, Engineering. Position located in Mountain View, CA at Vocent Solutions, Inc.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related area
- 3+ years VUI applications design
- 2+ years in recognition systems (e.g., Nuance or SpeechWorks) tuning
Recommended Skills
- Microsoft Windows skills, MS Office, Visio, Cool Edit/Sound Forge
- Experience working with customers and application developers
- Interest in deploying cutting edge application that will include voice but may also span other multimodal inputs on different devices to meet needs of security industry
- Leadership qualities to help articulate vision for authentication solutions
- Experience deploying speaker verification applications is a plus
