Goode News, an innovative software company focused on the news and information sector, has an immediate opening for an information professional familiar with taxonomy creation and information categorization.
Job Description
The Categorization Manager will be responsible for leading the development, implementation and management of a robust taxonomy of news related content.
The CM will need to intelligently create, define and organize information categories, sub-categories, nomenclature and keywords. The CM will function as a highly critical component of Goode News's success. Eventually, it is expected that the CM will manage a staff which will continually update and define the taxonomy.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and have previous experience in creating and maintaining taxonomies, categorizing, cataloging and/or indexing information or experience in the knowledge management industry.
Recent graduates with a degree in Library and Information Science or Information Management are also welcomed to apply for a position to work along with the Categorization Manager.
