International UI Designer (Japanese), Adobe

Position: International UI Designer (Japanese)

Duration: Full Time

Responsibilities:

Research and interface design for international markets, primarily Japan. Designer will conduct design research with users in the target country(s), recommend design requirements from research findings, and create UI designs to fill those needs. Will work closely with other UI team members, Product Marketing managers, engineers, quality assurance, and the User Research Lab in Japan to develop designs that meet the needs of Japanese users.

Experiential Requirements:

Native-level fluency in Japanese required. Excellent English communication skills required. 3+ years experience in the software or product design industry desirable. Must be familiar with usability studies, site visits, contextual inquiry, and other forms of user research. The ideal candidate has experience with the localization process and have demonstrated initiative and vision in creating the best products for international users. Must have strong coordination, collaboration, and multi-tasking skills. Must be able to communicate difficult issues, investigate complex requirements, and work well in a team.

Educational requirements: Requires a B.A., B.S. or work-experience equivalent

Fluency in Chinese, Korean, German, or French a plus. Experience in graphics software, video editing products, and digital imaging products a plus.
