We have a job opportunity for a managing consultant in our office in Highbury, London, UK.

The job requires:
* Advanced, practical knowledge of user centred design: You have real, first-hand experience of the principles and practice of user centred design
- from a research, IA or creative perspective. You're an expert at using those techniques to inform the business and project team and to drive the creation of products and services an that truly satisfy their target users.
You're innovative when it comes to adapting user centred design techniques to fit the needs of the project. You have worked directly with users in previous roles, and have a real empathy and understanding for user needs.
* Client facing skills: You know how to be diplomatic, clear, persuasive, firm and charming with clients. You are expert at questioning and listening, then suggesting solutions to expand client understanding and address client needs.
* Design thinking: You think in a creative, breadth first and user-centred way to come up with innovative solutions to usability problems. You are confident in visualising your ideas using software or pen and paper.
* Leadership and management: You are experienced and comfortable managing a group of four to five user experience professionals, and helping them to develop their careers and skills. You are also comfortable leading individuals or small teams in a project context to ensure high-quality, insightful deliverables.
* Growing the business: You have some experience in and an aptitude for sales and marketing activities such as scoping and proposal writing, presenting and networking.
Nitty gritty...
* You need at least four years experience in the field doing IA or
usability or production or design, and two years management experience
* You need a good degree. Postgraduate is better.
