Location: Long Beach, California
Looking for a SR.IA for a communications firm to work on our automotive client’s websites. Need extensive applied experience in information architecture and usability as well as excellent information design ability. Must be able to translate client objectives and consumer needs into requirements and UI design, IAs, wireframes and functional specifications. Have ability to lead client and internal team worksessions, and define project/application/design requirements.
The Sr. IA candidate must have:
· Significant experience in designing large-scale, application and/or process driven web sites and interactive applications
· Ability to drive complex projects through to completion
· Ability to develop compelling concepts that support engaging user experiences. This role will be equally involved in IA and information design.
Requirements:
5+ years working as an information architect including experience designing organization, navigation, and search for large, complex website applications
In-depth understanding and experience with user-centered design processes
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Proficient in established software tools: Word, Excel, Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, Powerpoint, Visio
Automotive experience a plus
Understanding of HTML, DHTML, Javascript and Content Management Systems
