Position Title: Sr. Research Specialist - Creative Pro

Duration: Fulltime

Job Description:

Work closely with product team to identify research needs throughout entire development cycle. Activities include defining and executing a broad range of appropriate research strategies, including ethnographic observation, interviews, usability studies, card sorts, contextual inquiries and heuristic evaluations. Candidate should have demonstrated experience collaborating on cross-functional teams (e.g.

interaction and visual designers, engineers, and product management) and a desire to evolve existing research tools and techniques.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree is required. Advanced degree (MA, MS or PhD) in

Cognitive Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Human-Computer

Interaction, or related field is preferred.

* Minimum of 3 - 4 years of research experience in a corporate

environment.

* Experience with identifying and implementing an appropriate mix of

strategic and tactical user research activities. Strong verbal and

written communication skills. Knowledge of a variety of theoretical

and analytical approaches to user behavior. Ability to think

creatively and connect research insights to software solutions.

Familiarity with publishing industry and/or creative professionals is

a plus.
