Summary:
SideStep is seeking an experienced UI Architect to help us add new features to our popular travel search engine. This position will include both high-level structuring and hands-on development
Responsibilities:
* Participate and/or lead product UI feature design and implementation efforts
* Comprehensive product development including system design, code development, system integration, testing, documentation, production environment deployment and maintenance
* Provide work estimates and deliver challenging, stable, and maintainable projects on schedule
Requirements:
* At least two years of HTML/DHTML, Javascript and CSS skills.
* Solid experience with JSP, JSTL (and other standard taglibraries)
* Extensive experience in working with the UI portion of MVC frameworks – such as Struts, Webworx, Tapestry and JSF (Java server faces)a plus
* MUST HAVE STRONG JAVA SKILLS
* Experience in using XML/XSL a plus
* Websites that can be referenced, demonstrating the above
* Referenced abilities to operate with little supervision and work well within an engineering team environment
* Proven history of exercising sound and pragmatic judgment to determine appropriate action including weighing the costs of various solutions with respect to short term and long term technical and business related benefits and risks
* Excellent problem solving and communication skills
