Key Areas of Responsibility:
Strong experience and background in usability design, testing, leading teams to conduct user interface evaluations, applying usability standards and best practices, and facilitating user interface designs with the project team. Will need to quickly develop and implement new design process, as well as be able to get up to speed with assigned projects and handle them with minimal mentoring.
Create/edit Information Architecture sitemaps, create/edit UI wire- frames, keep tech and creative teams on track. Deliver innovative, user-centered design solutions.
. Research and prioritize user and functional requirements . Develop and document usability standards and guidelines . Plan and manage usability testing/user research . Gather and share benchmarking data . Educate product teams about user-centered designs . Define, develop, lead, analyze, and report on results from usability tests, contextual inquiries, design walkthroughs, paper prototypes, interviews, surveys, and other usability methods . Identify, prioritize, track, document and manage the resolution of usability issues . Create, and implements effective strategic marketing plans and manages multiple tactical activities to reach a targeted audience.
. May oversee special projects such as focus groups, surveys, and competitive evaluations, all of which provide feedback for product/service changes and improvements and new product/service development.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
. Minimum of five years' experience using usability methods to improve, web applications, or general consumer products.
. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field such as human computer interaction, graphic design and or, industrial design . A track record of excellent communication skills, both written and verbal . Excellent UI design skills and a demonstrable track record of designing interfaces and writing detailed specifications for products . Proven ability to lead product teams in a variety of user- centered design activities.
. Proven ability to define and carry out a variety of usability evaluations, report on results, and manage the resolution of high-priority issues.
. Big picture design ideas
. An expert in working with a variety of users, including general consumers, business users, and web designers and developers.
. Excitement working with new technologies.
. Passion for great experiences on the web.
. Strong Usability Testing Experience
. GUI, web design and HTML development experience . Experience working on at a creative agency a plus

The Usability Designer will be the advocate of the customer-not the lone voice.
