Our client’s portfolio of solutions—including identity & access management, secure mobile & remote access, secure enterprise access and secure transactions—are all designed to provide the most seamless e-security experience in the market.
Primary responsibilities:
1. Lead the user interface design effort for one or more security products.
2. Work closely with Engineering, Product Management and other groups to optimize the user experience for our customers and to make ease of use a product differentiator.
3. Create paper and online prototypes to gather early feedback.
4. Develop web pages for integration into the product.
5. Validate designs using a variety of methods, including usability testing, focus groups, surveys, etc.
6. Communicate designs by creating storyboards, writing user interface design specifications and crafting process flow diagrams.
7. Work with the User Experience Design team to optimize the design process and apply design standards to ensure a common look-and-feel across all products.
Qualifications required:
1. Minimum of 3 years experience leading user interface design efforts in a software company development environment.
2. Must understand all phases of designing an enterprise software product, including planning and scheduling tasks.
3. Must demonstrate experience understanding complex systems, and be both big-picture and detail oriented.
4. Experience developing user profiles, scenarios, usability requirements, and leading brainstorming sessions.
5. Experience validating designs using focus groups, surveys, usability testing, and other creative methods.
6. Ability to work well with product management and engineering to validate product requirements and convert them into usable product designs.
7. Web design and development skills: DreamWeaver, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript.
8. Must have excellent communication skills.
9. Must be passionate about improving software usability and optimizing the customer experience.
10. Portfolio of work required.
Qualifications desired:
1. Experience designing for non-technical business users or the consumer market.
2. Experience working with remote development teams.
3. Visual design skills.
Education:
* Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
