We are seeking an Assistant Information Architect at the Wall Street office of CCH in New York City. This is a temporary full-time contract position, likely to last 2-4 months.
Job Description:
The Assistant Information Architect supports the Lead Information Architect in labor-intensive areas, such as production and maintenance of prototypes and specification documents. Additional responsibilities may include user research or assisting with usability testing logistics. The Asst. IA will also be expected to participate in design sessions. The ideal candidate has at least intermediate-level experience producing prototypes for user interfaces, as well as specifying and/or implementing user interfaces, and has a good understanding of best practices and methodologies of user experience design. Prototyping experience should include production of wireframes in Visio, but might also include Flash- or HTML-based prototyping. The ideal candidate is an outstanding communicator, both verbally and in writing, able to produce succinct and unambiguous specification copy, and clear and precise visual presentations. It is expected that applicants will have at least some experience with computer programming and/or data modeling, and strong visual design instincts.
