Freelance Information Architect, Interactive Advertising

TTS Personnel is a staffing service with a focus on openings in graphics and advertising - both temporary assignments and permanent positions. We are currently seeking Information Architects for upcoming projects at Interactive Advertising agencies in the NYC area:
You will be expected to assure optimal usability on client engagements. As part of the Experience Group, you will design Web site structures, content organization, interactive processes, and GUIs that help users find what they're looking for, quickly and easily.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Work closely with the Customer Insights and Research department, the Consulting group as well as Visual Designers, Copywriters and Interface Engineers to help finalize strategy and project requirements.
· Analyze server logs, focus group results, market data, and industry trends to find the most appropriate and innovative design solutions.
· Perform site assessments and content audits.
· Work out the overall structure that holds an interactive brand experience together.
· Create storyboards and functional flows that show the relationships between interactive content and functionality.
· Collaborate with the team to determine the most appropriate navigational solutions and user interfaces.
· Present work internally and externally in a clear and professional manner.
You must be well organized, logical, analytical, and extremely creative. Be able to justify your design decisions clearly and convincingly. Having had some experience with task analysis and modeling, contextual inquiry, usability inspection methods and testing is helpful. You must have already solved information design problems for a variety of clients and are capable of presenting the background of the planning process for sites you have worked on.
These are freelance positions - some have the potential to become permanent.

You must be familiar with the most recent Usability and IA research.
Familiar with Visio and PowerPoint. Bachelor's Degree required in either Library Sciences, Interaction Design, Journalism, Usability Engineering, Instructional Design, Graphic Design.
