Research Integrations, Inc. (RII) is currently seeking a creative and innovative Information Technology Developer III to join our team. This person must be a self-starter who enjoys working in a small- multidisciplinary team environment.
Title: Information Technology Developer III
Position Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to lead and participate in projects addressing the design, development, and implementation of technology tools and methods.
Responsibilities may include:
*Conducting user needs analysis to determine hardware, software, and system functional specifications.
*Leading and/or participating in the design, development, modification, testing, and/or maintenance of websites or software.
*Leading and/or participating in graphic design and development.
*Leading and/or participating in database development and maintenance.
*Participating in the identification of design and development projects.
*Representing RII in collaborative work with other organizations.
*Providing guidance to project team members.
*Leading and/or participating in team project planning and project development activities.
Qualifications
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
*Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team environment.
*Understanding of human factors design principles and their application to software and website design.
*Experience with programming languages such as HTML, JavaScript, VBScript, CSS, XML, Perl, Visual Basic (6.0 and/or VB.NET), Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), Visual Studio.NET, SQL, ASP.NET.
*Experience in relational database development, such as MS Access and SQL.
*Experience with graphic design software such as CorelDRAW and Adobe Photoshop.
*Experience in software development planning including labor and time resources necessary to achieve development objectives.
*Experience with software testing, troubleshooting, and resolving problems.
*Experience in website maintenance.
*Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts (in writing and
verbally) to a variety of audiences.
*Ability to identify resources necessary to learn to program in new environments and to use these resources effectively as necessary.
*Strong problem solving, logic, and critical thinking skills, including ability to effectively and efficiently debug software
Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Desired (not required) *Knowledge of aviation flight deck systems and procedures.
*Knowledge of issues involved in commercially distributing licensed software and technology available to license software.
*Ability to design creative and useful graphic images for use in software and/or website interfaces.
*Experience with implementing the Capability Maturity Model (CMM).
*Experience patenting software algorithms.
*Experience in conducting user needs analysis to determine hardware, software, and system functional specifications.
*Experience in designing and conducting software usability testing.
Education
Master’s degree in an appropriate discipline with at least 3 years of applicable experience, including at least 1 year of project leadership experience or the equivalent.
