Our client, a Global blue-chip technology organisation, is looking for a senior research manager to join its Software and Application technologies lab with a particular focus on User Experience. Divided into user research, concept design and usability, the competencies of the unit span from detailed interaction design to visionary product and application concepts.
The suitable candidate will be degree qualified, and will ideally have a PhD in a relevant field such as Human-Computer Interaction or psychology.
Experience in research management, with specific reference to HCI, the ability to set long term targets and a track record of supervising successful research projects are essential. Responsibilities will include setting the vision and strategy for the research area, collaboration of existing research programs to ensure optimal participation of User Experience and the initiation and supervision of exploratory research projects. The role will also require leadership and daily management of the unit. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and will have a high standard of English language skills.
