We are currently trying to fill the following position:

Introduction
As a User Interface Developer at Tideway, you will be responsible for User Interface design, implementation, and testing. You'll work closely with product management and other engineers to translate customer requirements into product functionality. On an ongoing basis, you'll write product & feature design specifications based upon functional requirements and develop code to implement the design with appropriate unit & system testing. You'll be responsible for estimating, planning and delivering to agreed scope and timescales, understanding the impact of software changes on system performance and scalability and will see the product through QA and customer deployment.

Key skills/knowledge
The candidate must have following;
- UI requirement gathering.
- Use case analysis and UI implementation.
- Usability and accessibility paradigms.
- User Experience design and engineering.
- Information Architecture.
- User Interface development.
- Object Orientated Application development
- Presentational Layer code (JavaScript, CSS, HTML/XHTML, DOM).
- Java Applet/Application development
- Experience with SWING
- Standards compliance (code, usability & accessibility).
- Browser behaviour and quirks.
- Excellent communication skill is of the utmost importance - both written and spoken.
Ideally we would also like:
- UML
- Python
Generally the candidate must be:
- Intelligent with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
- Flexible and a willing work to accommodate the needs of the business and customers, at occasionally short notice
Experience and qualifications
- Ideally 5+ years in UI development
- Honours Degree preferred
