Greenwich Council is looking for a full-time information architect, starting in mid-to-late March.
The job is scheduled to last 6 months and may be extended permanently.
Greenwich Council is London local authority, and the position is based in the corporate web team, a multidisciplinary team, with a deep commitment to achieving the e-government targets and serving the citizens of Greenwich.
This IA position is for a large Phase 2 project that will redesign our current website (www.greenwich.gov.uk), make the site transactional and redesign and migrate our intranet onto the CMS platform. Both use or will use Microsoft CMS, Sharepoint Portal Server and Redwood Universal Forms Server (UFS).

You should:
* Have 3+ years experience as an information architect.
* Have been the principal IA on at least one major enterprise-level website, from start to finish.
* Be comfortable presenting -- and sometimes leading
-- large meetingswith senior management-level clients
* Be able to show us examples of all or most of the following typical deliverables:
* use cases/scenarios
* user personas
* site maps, wireframes/schematics, process flows
* business analysis/features/requirements
* functional specifications
* content and information modelling using metadata and CVs
* Work very well with visual designers, content editors and technologists
* Be a good communicator, both spoken and written
* Be able to back-up your ideas and decisions with well-grounded IA related theory, anecdotes and statistics
* Be forward-thinking and resourceful about trends and best practices in web design and IA. You should have a strong understanding and desire to apply web standards to your work ..*Be fully aware and knowledgable about the UK e-GMS standards relating to web design, especially the metadata schemas and controlled vocabularies.
This position is for the kind of IA who sees themselves as a key project leader as well as a team player, someone who can consistently generate new ideas and strategies for the team and for the client.
In addition to your own web team, youll be working alongside council suppliers, web agencies and consultants like Deloittes. This is a hands-on position and youll be leading these partners and the team with your IA deliverables and experience.

..* You have no problem working in Woolwich! (closet rail station is Woolwich Arsenal). We encourage teleworking at least one day per week.
