I am looking for an Information Architect/ User Experience Designer for a financial company in LA. Individual should have experience in transactional based websites and large complex projexts. This individual will be also involved in usablity testing, prototypes, wireframes etc. You should have excellent communication skills and should be living in LA or Bay Area. Job Description.
This associate will help formulate the navigation, functionality, organizational structure, page-to-page flow and design of the company's websites. Primary responsibilities include working with the Site Development team to determine functionality and navigation solutions for the websites; create wireframes and develop categorization, nomenclature and site maps using Visio or related tools; create or assist in prototype development; participate in research efforts to create and conduct usability tests; and collaborate with the lead designer, writers and coders on selected design assignments as required.
A minimum of 2-3 years of information architect experience for a large and complex web site with a diverse user base, wireframe and prototype development/documentation, and application of site usage data is required.
-Broad understanding of the Web and associated technologies, a strong sense of Web design style and solid graphic design skills, and proficiency with software tools such as Visio, Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Quark Xpress to create wireframes and prototypes, and HTML are necessary.
-A proactive individual with strong oral and written communication skills including documentation and ability to work effectively in a collaborative large team environment, detail orientation, excellent organization and analytical and problem-solving skills are required as well as the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with a high level of service orientation.
-Knowledge of template-driven websites using a content management system and databases is highly desired as well as an understanding of back-end development processes, issues and solutions.
-Degree in human/computer interaction, library/information science, information and visual design and/or technical communications is preferred.
