Senior Information Architect
Permanent
Start date: ASAP
Based: West Kensington London
Wheel Ltd (www.wheel.co.uk), one of the UK's leading digital communications agencies, has an urgent need for a Senior Information Architect to join the team.

You must be hard working, keen to learn and possess an understanding of, and indeed total passion for, the user experience. A degree in a related field will count in your favour, but ultimately we'll place the greatest emphasis on your 3-5 year's relevant experience.

You'll need to demonstrate core IA skills:
Ability to understand the client's business and business objectives, as well as target audience needs, and translate this into relevant, interesting content and effective site architecture.
Understanding of good usability practices online and ability to translate them into specifications for successful user interfaces.

General understanding of internet technologies and content management systems, recognising the technical implications of design decisions.

Familiarity with standard IA tools and methods:
wireframing
process mapping / diagramming
site mapping
creating user profiles & personas
prototyping
observation of user behaviour
quantitative & qualitative research
Ability to document and communicate design decisions and rationale convincingly to the rest of the team and to clients.
Understanding of accessibility issues
Skills in library science, journalism, technical writing or HCI, though not essential, will be welcomed.
To apply, please send your CV, together with a note of your salary expectations, to Gabrielle at cv@wheel.co.uk, with the words Senior IA in the title line.
