User Experience Specialist
User Experience Specialists will lead online product research, user research, strategy, information architecture development, and interaction design to create interactions between people and technology. User Experience Specialists are able to discover, understand, and communicate the business requirements of our clients, the emotional desires of their customers, and the context in which these two come together. Ideal candidates will have expertise with Human Factors / HCI techniques and processes.
Responsibilities
Plan, prioritize, coordinate, and conduct user requirements analysis, task analysis, conceptual modeling, behavioral modeling, information architecture design, interaction design, and usability testing.
Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, design details, and design rationale both verbally and visually.
Produce user requirements documentation, including personas, scenarios, wireframes, flowcharts, and visual prototypes.
Design and specify user interfaces and information architecture using participatory and iterative design techniques, including observational studies, customer interviews, usability tests, and other forms of qualitative and quantitative research.
Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, design details, and design rationale both verbally and visually.
Manage the design process, drive decisions, track issues, and assist in estimating resource needs and schedules.
Work closely with technical development teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented.
Participate as a contributor to an interdisciplinary team that includes creative team members, project management, business and brand strategists, and technical developers.
Requirements
At least five years of user experience design (user centered design, human factors, behavioral modeling, information architecture, etc..)
Strong knowledge of interaction design processes and methodology, particularly as applied to Web-based applications and Web sites
Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as PhotoShop, Illustrator, Visio, and DreamWeaver.
Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of Web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, Flash, and CSS.
Excellent communication and organization skills.
Ability to confidently handle multiple projects and manage project deliverables without supervision.

Duration: minimum 3 months with preference to hire at some point during contract term
