Head of User Experience Vacancy, London

My client is a leading, full service digital agency and we have a vacancy for a Head of User Experience. You will be responsible for a small team as well as any external agencies/contractors, have budgetary control, be tasked with the development of the UE discipline and the practice, be involved in UE strategy design and implementation as well as being involved in high level client pitches and meetings.


As Head of User Experience you would be expected to:

- Work closely with other Department Heads to develop work plans and ensure that project goals meet the client’s business goals and objectives.

- Engage with the spectrum of User Experience methods and processes and have a deep expertise of the research components of our work.

- Oversee, execute, and provide conceptual direction for key aspects of the research, design, and development of solutions for our clients and drive iterative evaluative processes as needed.

- Contribute to scoping, planning and estimating activities, as well as mentoring, coaching and guiding other members of the user experience team.

Experience required:

- Five to seven years of related work experience
- Significant prior usability, research and consulting experience
- A keen sense for the social logic behind human behaviour
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously in a complex environment
- A strong sense of process and the ability to create process tools and conventions
- Experience in project management and staff development
- Experience in client management and business development

You should also have a qualification in behavioural sciences or closely related discipline such as Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology (Cognitive or Experimental) or Sociology. Familiarity with current usability methodologies, web analytics and traditional research techniques is essential to this role.

The role is London based, salary c£50 + bonus and bens package. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible but will wait for the right candidate.
