Manager, Interaction Design
Position Overview:
Role provides the opportunity to create visual designs, interaction designs and functional prototypes by engaging in a design process that moves through several levels of media including: sketches, diagrams, digital comps, high and low fidelity prototypes, detailed UI design blueprints. Focus of this process is on requirements for wired web, wireless web, and software (desktop and mobile) for Sprint products and services. Role adds value to team by providing visual communication of implied information structures, the design and definition of navigation paradigms, prototypes of user interfaces for product research and usability studies, translation of usability research findings into design improvements.
Selected Candidate Will Bring To The Table:
1. A demonstration of strong visual design, interaction design and
prototyping process and skills through review of their Portfolio.
2. An eye for detail and the ability to put ideas into a tangible
form developing new approaches to complex design problems.
3. In-depth knowledge of "best practice" GUI principles and layout
across multiple platforms and technologies and internet medium and software technologies.
4. Knowledge of user centered design methodologies and usability
evaluation and testing techniques.
5. Must possess a degree in a design related field or 5+ years'
relevant design and project management experience.
6. Expert knowledge in industry standard design tools Photoshop,
Illustrator or Freehand, DreamWeaver, HomeSite, Flash or Director and Visio. Video and sound experience a plus
