TandemSeven, a leading provider of usable interfaces for complex applications, is seeking Senior and Principal level consultants with a strong Human Factors or User Experience background.
Job Title: PRINCIPAL USER EXPERIENCE ARCHITECT
Principal User Experience Architects should have leadership, project management, and business development experience in addition the requirements of the Senior User Experience Architect. The Principal position requires someone who is not only skilled in requirements, research and design, but also has strong experience working with clients, planning projects, writing proposals and generating new business opportunities. As with the Senior position, location is open, though an unrestricted ability to travel is required.
The Principal User Experience Architect carries the same required skills and background as the Senior, with the addition of the following:
Required Skills
* Able to lead engagements and work independently or with a team
* Strong client-facing presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal)
* Able to plan projects, write proposals and statements of work
* Must be able to travel (non-negotiable)
Background/Experience
* Advanced degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or related field preferred
* Minimum 7 years experience practicing software or web-based UI design, including portal frameworks, preferred
* Minimum 5 years of senior consulting experience to large, Fortune 500 companies preferred
* Experience in Financial Services, Healthcare, High Tech, Manufacturing, Retail or Travel & Entertainment is preferred.
* Strong business development network desired
* Experience and desire to create intellectual capital preferred (e.g., white papers, conference presentations, etc.)
