Evolver is looking for a Senior Human Factors engineer to help support a DHS project. Human Factors Engineer must have experience with performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Also conducting analysis at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Human Factors engineer will ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Will also perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
The applicant must be certified (CHFEP or CHFP) and must have excellent working knowledge of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended (29 U.S.C. 794d). Knowledge of Human Factors test tools such as "JAWS" is desired. A CHFP or CHFEP is not a requirement for those who have extensive HF experience.
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with 12 years of professional experience, or 8 years of professional experience with a related Master's Degree. Considered an emerging authority.
Candidates must be eligible to pass a Minimum Background Investigation
(MBI) sponsored by the US Government. Candidates who are eligible for this MBI are US Permanent Residents and US Citizens.
