User Experience Architect, New Media Team, OCR, Cambridge
Grade E, Salary range £22,545 to £27,316, depending upon experience.
OCR are looking for an individual with experience in user experience design to define the user experience of its wide variety of web-delivered services.
OCR is a leading awarding body, offering qualifications that recognise the achievements of all learners. More than 13,000 centres offer our qualifications and we issue more than 6 million results each year. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of OCR’s push to move key business processes online.
Day-to-day work will include interviewing project stakeholders and users to gather requirements and use cases and then creating site maps, wireframes and process flow diagrams. Managing small projects and setting business-wide standards to improve the user experience on OCR’s websites are also an important part of the role.
As the successful candidate, you will either have a relevant qualification or at least 1 years’ experience working in a similar role. Additional experience that would be useful for the role includes usability, interaction design, content management and analysis of usage statistics. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to establish themselves in the field of user experience, and as such we require confident candidates who are passionate about the field and able to promote the benefits of the design approach to colleagues throughout the business. To reconcile user and business requirements successfully, the role will require you to be both tenacious and diplomatic.
This post is based in Cambridge, UK. Travel within the UK will be required.
