I am looking for a Manager for the Web Team of a finnancial company in LA area. This individual should have atleast 5 years of management experience in formal management doing performance reviews and career planning of the employees. Experience in Challenging employees and keeping them in engaged to continue to grow. In this position you will be managing copy writers, editors, production specialists, Information architect and web designer so an individual having background in managing all the above kind of people with creative experience will be preferred. This individual should also have preferably financial background with experience on a Transactional website with front end experience. Some knowledge of backend experience will be a bonus. You will be managing a very strong team so you should be a strong leader who can effectively lead a group towards vision. You also should have good experience in small to medium size project management and we can definitely benefit if you come from a creative background. Job Description
The Web Manager, in partnership with the Senior Site Manager, will provide oversight of the shareholder side of the company. We are seeking a leader who can effectively balance business objectives and team member development responsibilities.
The qualified candidate will provide leadership and direction to an experienced front-end creative team (web designer, writer, information architect, copy editor, and production associates). Additionally, the Team Manager will develop effective relationships with key business areas as well as within the web teams in order to identify and respond strategically to the needs of our shareholder audience.
Minimum of five years recent supervisory experience leading a creative, cross-functional web team while overseeing day-to-day activities and providing guidance and direction on key decisions
- Demonstrated experience developing and coaching staff. This includes setting and managing performance expectations as well as writing and presenting written performance reviews
- Project management experience is necessary including the ability to provide oversight and direction on multiple web activities from inception to completion. This includes coordinating with other front- and back-end Team Managers to prioritize work and manage resource allocation. Effective organizational, research, problem-solving and resolution skills are a must for success
- Ability to facilitate meetings and collaborate with various teams and departments to establish effective business relationships with Capital associates on all levels
- Experience delivering financial services online or with a sophisticated, transactional website is preferred
- Experience working with complex web systems and architecture is desired including an understanding of web technologies, client-centered web design, functionality, web production and scheduling
