Summary
Macromedia is searching for a world-class Senior Visual Designer to work with the Macromedia Consulting (MC) team on strategic third-party engagements. A candidate's portfolio must demonstrate a broad depth of experience with emphasis on application, and user-interface design, while leveraging rich clients in innovative ways. The Senior Visual Designer will work with the MC user experience and engineering teams to create innovative, rich client applications targeted at the web, mobile phones, and other devices. The ideal candidate must showcase the ability to create designs that match brands, beauty, and usability.
Responsibilities
* Work with external clients and the Macromedia Consulting team to translate business problems and requirements into compelling, innovative design solutions that demonstrate the power and value of the Rich Internet Application experience.
* Create interactive prototypes for use as UE proof-of-concepts in Macromedia Flash.
* Draft design specifications for use by MC and third-party engineering teams.
* Provide feedback to Macromedia's product teams regarding lessons garnered when using products with clients.
* Continually innovate using the Macromedia suite of industry-leading tools.
* Promote a constructive environment for idea exploration and creativity.
* Travel up to 25% of the time.
Requirements
* Minimum of five years' experience designing and creating interactive applications.
* Portfolio that includes numerous examples of award-winning work.
* Extensive experience with the Macromedia suite of tools, especially Macromedia Flash.
* Proven ability to balance multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines.
* Formal design training.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Macintosh and PC fluency.
Ideal
* Application UI development experience.
* Industrial design or information architecture background preferred.
* Experience with Macromedia Flash and ActionScript.
