Description:
The User Interface Designer will be responsible for providing strategic design leadership to drive our user experience to even greater heights.
Must deliver a best in class user experience with the ability to think out of the box with new creative ideas and work with our engineering and product management groups to turn ideas into reality.
Principal Responsibilities:
· Design and review product User Interface architectures including sitemaps, navigation schemes task flows and user interfaces for new mobile devices · Conceive and design graphic artwork for Web sites and wireless products · Conduct and manage remote and on-site usability evaluations and customer interviews designed to collect product feedback and functional requirements · Perform competitive analysis as required · Contribute ideas for improving processes and deliverables
Required Qualifications:
· BS/MS in Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Information Science or related field · 7+ years developing user interfaces, at least 2+ developing for mobile devices (PDA or phone) · A portfolio demonstrating experience in designing usable interfaces, this may be an online or printed portfolio. The portfolio should not just be screenshots of work you have done, the portfolio should have user interface designs that you are proud of and explain how you arrived at the design · Prepare a story with your examples that explains what design goals you had to achieve, the obstacles in your way and some of the thought process that got you to your final design · Ability to hand code HTML, DHTML, CSS, Java script, xHTML, cHTML · Expert in the use of design and prototyping tools (Visio, Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, etc.) · Strong visual design sense · Strong oral, written and presentation skills · High energy, creative and innovative thinker · Ability to work in a team environment
