User Researcher, Oyster

Oyster is looking for additional User Researchers to carry out research and testing programmes within Oyster's research lab facility situated on site at our London Office.

You will be responsible for the successful execution of client research projects and internal studies commissioned by the lab.

The role will include:
* The planning and delivery of projects, including writing prospective research proposals and briefing documents for our partners;
* The role will include the development of methodologies, discussion guides and interview scripts, and requires a flexible research approach to give our clients best in class research results.

This is a varied position and offers a high level of responsibility for the right candidate.

You should be a proactive, self-motivated and organised individual who thrives in a busy client centred environment.

Qualifications and experience
* HCI/Ergonomics/Product Design/Psychology Graduate
* Experience of facilitation/moderation in a consumer environment
* Experience of arranging and delivering focus groups and one to one interviews
* Experience in fixed line, mobile, Web, application design and testing
* Advocate of User Centred Design and process
* Demonstrated team skills as well as ability to work unsupervised
* Enthusiastic and personable, experience of client/customer facing role
* Flexible and willing to work non-standard hours (e.g. evening groups)
* Experience of using recording equipment an advantage but not essential
* Second European language an advantage
* 3 years research experience in a usability or product research environment;
* You will have delivered research groups, one to one interviews and usability sessions within a client or research agency environment.

These skills will also have been demonstrated with internal stakeholders, working with them to see the successful implementation of research recommendations. You will have a varied research methods background, be a keen advocate of UCD processes, and take a keen interest in finding and using innovative research techniques, as well as keeping up to date with developments in the industry.

With reliable technical skills you will be comfortable learning and using the Oyster research databases, writing and presenting research results as well as intelligently interrogating data for insightful results and recommendations.

About the Oyster Lab
Oyster Lab takes responsibility for user research and testing programmes within the company. We sit within the Strategic Services group, alongside Content Services, Business Consulting and Service Design.
Together, the group is responsible for helping to maintain Oyster's reputation as a market leader and innovator, developing and expanding the portfolio of services that we offer to clients and building long-term, trusted relationships with our clients.

The Lab is a new Oyster function in its current form, taking on a wide variety of research projects, for our broad range of clients. The Lab supports a number of Oysters tier one clients, and operates as an independent expert offering unbiased, robust research consulting.
Programmes are developed in conjunction with our clients objectives and we use a range of methodologies to best suit their needs.
