Information Architect, BBC New Media

Jun 15 05

6 month contract, London

Responsible for maintaining the UK’s largest media-based website, we develop products and services that can be used by bbc.co.uk to increase interactivity, navigation and user engagement.

Working both independently and as part of a team, your main focus will involve working with project and operational teams within New Media Central to deliver strong Information Architecture solutions and ensure the consistent quality of the BBC user experience. In addition, you’ll offer expert advice to editorial and technical teams on IA principles – so that they’re fully aware of what can be achieved.

As well as a degree, you’ll have two years’ experience as an information architect, combined with a good knowledge of classification and indexing. Familiarity with content modelling, functional design and usability would also be an advantage.

Applications to be received by 28 June.
