Position Summary:

Ingenix has an opportunity for an Information Architect to establish and lead a newly forming User Experience & Design (UED) team. Reporting directly to the CTO, the Information Architect will lead a team of visual designers, interaction designers, and usability staff responsible for the customer experience across the entire portfolio of Ingenix product offerings (~100 products serving and connecting all aspects of the healthcare system). The position will require close coordination with product management teams, sales and marketing, and engineering teams. You will be responsible for establishing the UED team and processes and driving a coherent vision of user experience across all Ingenix products.

Core Responsibilities:

· Develop and maintain key user interaction models for key participants in healthcare (providers, payers, employers, consumers, etc.) · Key participant in vetting product roadmaps for customer relevance and impact · Active in full product development lifecycle, from early product requirements definition, to development of best-of-breed user interface design, to on-going monitoring and evaluation of customer satisfaction and effectiveness · Develop and drive long-term user experience strategy into all aspects of Ingenix · Recruit and lead a high-performance team that can effectively represent and instantiate the user experience vision across multiple product development teams · Be a key catalyst in driving a culture of innovation and teamwork centered around the needs of our customers · Develop products and services that meaningfully and materially impact the health and well-being of the nation

Qualifications:

· Bachelors (or higher) degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science or related field, or significant directly related experience · 7 + years professional design experience for significant commercial products, with at least 3 years in a significant leadership role · Ability to understand and articulate complex design problems in a manner that drives idea generation and market impactful solutions · Ability to develop high impact designs that can be practically implemented · Proven success developing new approaches to complex design problems and to meet aggressive deadlines · Must be organized, able to act independently, and able to switch rapidly between different projects in a fast-paced environment · Ability to rapidly translate vision into tangible executable designs across a wide variety of product offerings (from consumer products to enterprise offerings) · Demonstrated history of establishing and leading a high-impact user experience and design team · Solid understanding of the web and its capabilities/limitations (including HTML and CSS) · Strong leadership and communication skills at the executive level, with customers and partners, and with internal development teams · Proven ability to drive a coherent vision across multiple distributed cross-functional teams
