The Oracle Collaboration Suite User Experience Team is seeking an Interaction Designer with a background in designing collaborative software to help build a next-generation product that takes an innovative approach and ties together the many tools involved in collaboration to help people focus on their tasks rather than on the tools they use. Oracle Collaboration Suite is in the rare position of being able to take advantage of Oracle’s database architecture to help integrate the data and the tools that are involved in doing collaborative tasks
In this position you are expected to foster and support a collaborative, innovative culture, working closely with other members of the user experience design team, including visual designers and usability/user research engineers, as well as product managers and developers. This position helps to define the user experience, and champion the value of user centered design to achieve maximum user experience results. You will:
Design, evaluate, iterate and implement high quality detailed functional and UI specifications for a complex project, including flow diagrams, wireframes and documented functionality
Ensure that design specifications meet the strategic goals of the product and that the product is deployed according to design specifications
Work with usability engineers to design test plans and prototypes and to iterate designs throughout user testing
Translate usability research findings into design improvements
Work with visual designers to improve and refine visual design and consistency
Proactively communicate status and updates to stakeholders throughout the UI design process
The candidate should have a proven record of designing world-class software; bring strong creative, conceptual, and problem-solving experience; and demonstrate effective communication skills. In this role, you will set and drive many functional areas of the Collaboration Suite throughout the product development lifecycle. You Must:
Have proficiency with Windows and/or Macintosh platforms, and graphics software tools and Web design tools including Photoshop and/or Illustrator.
Bring outstanding interaction design skills, and be able to build low and high-fidelity user interface design prototypes in HTML, Flash, or Director.
Have familiarity with Windows, Mac, and Linux as well as web-based product interfaces, industry standards/trends. Familiarity with mobile device interfaces is a plus.
Be able to solve complex issues as well as supply technically viable design alternatives
Have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Have a Bachelors Degree or higher in Interaction, Graphic, Industrial Design or equivalent work experience of 3+ years.
