We are currently seeking candidates for a Senior Interaction Designer. Candidate will provide interaction design, graphic design and presentation layer framework consulting to projects. This includes providing visual concepts, participate in development of interaction architecture, and provide technical framework recommendations. This individual will also provide User Centered Design methodology consulting to projects. Duties are performed for development and implementation of new business process Web applications or modifications to existing process Web applications in the context of User Interface, Information Architecture, and Use Model.
Specific required skills include:
· Undergraduate degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Interaction Design or equivalent field of study with some Human Factors experience. Masters Degree preferred.
· Expertise in two or more visual prototyping tools (Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, etc.) required. HTML/Dreamweaver is required. Experience with JSP/J2EE and/or Flex and/or Portal Websphere preferred.
· Experience with project management preferred.
· Proven understanding and experience with web technologies and interface interaction design.
· Proven skills in information synthesis. Have the ability to take usability testing data and/or business requirements to create solutions that meet both customer and user needs.
· Proven understanding and experience of providing alternative technical/interaction solutions for complex interface issues.
· Proven experience mapping interface solutions to technical solutions
Excellent visual design skills; must be able to provide visual design examples, for example, web site design, web page layout, typography, icon development, corporate identity and branding.
· Expert knowledge of user interface design and proven user interaction design skills.
· Ability to communicate usability and visual design principles to all levels of the organization.
Specific job duties will include:
· Act as liaison between User Experience staff and business and systems partners across business units.
· Provide guidance to projects that require extensive knowledge of visual communication/interaction techniques.
· Conduct design reviews and provide consultation during various phases of the product development life cycle.
· Develop design concepts/usability recommendations based on feedback received from focus groups, user interviews, surveys, and observational studies.
· Establish and create User Interface vision and strategy for particular projects.
· Work with other visual/interaction designer(s) to develop graphics and prepare layouts that include finished artwork or illustration or working prototypes.
