The Group
• We call ourselves “User Experience Design.”
• We work at the Sprint World Headquarters just outside of Kansas City in the suburban setting of Overland Park, Kansas.
• We are a diverse team of designers and researchers who affect the way over 20 million people communicate every day.

The Work
• We impact the total user experience for Sprint’s products and services. In most cases, we create it.
• From ideation to production, we participate in all stages of product development for voice, data, web, print, software, and hardware.
• We conduct research up front and along the way to guide, challenge, and verify our decisions.


Sr. Analyst, Sprint Usability Lab
• Execute user-centered research in support of product development initiatives for both consumer and business related products.
• Evaluate product designs against design criteria and identify points of departure.
• Create recruiting screeners and testing protocols
• Conduct and oversee product research, usability studies, qualitative interviews, and behavioral observations
• Conduct and oversee qualitative and quantitative data analyses
• Create and deliver lab research reports and scorecards.
• Assist in the management of the usability lab – schedule, intern training, etc.

We seek people who...
• Enjoy using analytic skills to find multiple solutions to a problem.
• Have experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses.
• Contribute to a team effort; lone wolves need not apply.
• Hold a Master’s degree in a behavioral science or human factors, and two years of experience conducting behavioral research in a lab.

Manager, Usability Life-cycle Research
• Execute usability research in support of Sprint’s products, services, systems and customer touchpoints over the course of their life-cycle. Knowledge and experience with a variety of research methods is important. Experience with survey development and sampling paradigms is essential.
• Create psychometric inventories using traditional psychometric methods.
• Ensure research findings are accurately captured by design objectives. Facilitate the creation of action plans as a result of research findings and assist in the execution of the plan.
• Advance the profession by publishing in professional journals and presenting research at national and international conferences.
• Conduct and oversee quantitative data analyses.
• Create research reports and present findings.

• Enjoy using analytic skills to find multiple solutions to a problem.
• Have experience conducting quantitative.
• Contribute to a team effort; lone wolves need not apply.
• Hold a Master’s degree in Psychology or other behavioral science, and four years of experience conducting survey/psychometric research. Ph.D. preferred.

Contractor, Sprint Usability Lab
• Conduct usability studies (potentially 2- 5 out-of-town studies).
• Evaluate quantitative and qualitative data from usability studies.
• Summarize usability study findings.
• Construct technology summaries from secondary research.
• Contribute to a team effort to ensure the usability of Sprint products and services.

• Enjoy using analytic skills to find multiple solutions to a problem.
• Have knowledge of research design and methodology.
• Posses keen observational skills.
• Contribute to a team effort; lone wolves need not apply.
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in psychology.
• Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
