Responsible for creating user interface mock ups and graphics for web pages for Kodak Imaging Network, Inc. (www.kodakgallery.com), formerly Ofoto, a wholly owned subsidiary of Eastman Kodak Company and the leader in online photography. The User Interface Designer works in the UI Design & Usability group, and is responsible for translating user flows, page layouts, and functional requirements into graphical prototypes of web pages. The User Interface Designer is also responsible for slicing and preparing graphical assets, related to the user interface, to be used on the web site.

Skills include:
Must be able to execute in a fast-paced environment. You'll need at least 3-5 years of work experience with proven user interface design expertise primarily related to the web. You must be a master of PhotoShop, Illustrator, and HTML. It's a definite plus if you've performed similar roles at other consumer-oriented Internet sites, and are passionate about e-commerce and/or digital photography.

Responsibilities:
Translate user flows, functional and page layout requirements into graphical user interface mock-ups, while adhering to standards set by the Usability and Creative Services departments. Work closely with the UI Design & Usability Manager, Information Architects, Producers, Creative Services and Engineering team to assure mock ups are being translated correctly into web pages. Work with Creative Services team where graphic design support is required. Prepare prototypes for usability testing, in addition to assisting with tests.

Requirements:
Candidates will have minimum 3-5 years web design experience with excellent working knowledge of web production. A Bachelor's in Art or related field is a definite plus. A strong sense of innovation, out of the box thinking skills, and experience in transforming functional and layout requirements into easy to use graphical user interfaces is a must. Experience with designing software applications is a plus. In addition this role requires:

· Extensive experience with web application user interface graphical layout, typography and presentation. Experience with designing software user interfaces a plus.
· Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, ImageReady or Macromedia Fireworks, GIF animation and Dreamweaver.
· Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Flash, and JavaScript (DHTML) a plus.
· Ability to design for multiple browsers.
· Familiar with graphic optimization and resolution constraints and standards.
· Familiar with usability issues and standards in web design · A strong portfolio, including URL's or screen shots of recent UI work.
· Ability to produce multiple designs iterations against deadlines a must.
· Ability to innovative -- create designs outside existing standards and norms.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills
