Amazon.com's Community team builds many of the most popular and distinctive features of Amazon, including Customer Reviews, Customer Images, Listmania!, So You'd Like To... Guides, and others -- and sets the agenda for future customer content and community interaction features on the site. We’re looking for a full-time designer with a background in creating innovative, easy-to-use, and fun customer experiences for dynamic websites. You will be responsible for designing new features on our website as well as developing improvements to existing design elements. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate solid user interface design and graphic design skills, and have a good understanding of the relationship between content, user interface, and technology. We need a highly motivated, self-directed, enthusiastic person who works well balancing multiple projects and can thrive in an atmosphere of rapid development. The ideal candidate will also be a persuasive advocate for the end-user--able to guide technical teams in user-centered design principles and brainstorm with business owners. Candidates must have at least 3 years of industry Web design experience, expertise in HTML, CSS, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver, and experience with JavaScript.
