Required Skills:

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

JOB LEVEL: Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.
This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position.
JOB COMPLEXITY: Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel.
SUPERVISION: Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.

Long Description:

Travelocity is seeking a usability professional with proven experience conducting usability tests and influencing product development to create an improved end-user experience. The major areas of responsibility will include creating, running and analyzing usability studies. The usability analyst will work closely with information architects and product managers to understand the business goals and testing needs. He/she will manage all usability tests for Travelocity, working in an extremely fast-paced environment. In addition to formal lab testing, the analyst s expert opinion will be heavily relied upon to critique wire frames and offer solutions to design dilemmas.

Responsibilities

The primary activities of and deliverables from the usability analyst are the following:
- Manage the administrative side of the usability tests -- prioritizing and scheduling all studies, securing participant incentives, and purchasing video tapes
- Create the participant screener and work with a 3rd party recruiter to manage test subject recruitment -Devise the test strategy and use cases -Moderate the usability test
- Compile test results and create a report (within 1 week, however, some projects may require faster turnaround) Conduct a post-test debrief meeting with product managers, information architects and key players from the user experience team
- Provide recommendations and suggestions for improvement

Secondary responsibilities include managing/conducting focus group and in- depth interview studies, as well as managing/conducting studies via third- party site assessment tools.

Qualifications

Required
-Strong moderating skills
-Strong analytical skills
-Strong written and verbal communication skills -Strong presentation skills -Ability to work with a variety of personalities -Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently -Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint -Working knowledge of normal office software

Preferred
-Advanced degree in human computer interaction, usability engineering or related field -Knowledge of travel industry -Experience with large scale ecommerce business -Working knowledge of HTML -Marketing background
