We are looking for an experienced interaction designer to join Oracle's Supply Chain Planning User Experience team in Toronto. You will drive a user-centered design process and define the user experience for complex enterprise applications that provide rich analysis and decision support capabilities.
The Supply Chain Planning User Experience team is a growing group of interaction designers and usability engineers. We collaborate closely with product managers, developers, testers and information developers in an agile development environment. We are a part of Oracle’s worldwide Applications User Experience Group and foster close ties with the Oracle user experience community.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prioritize, coordinate, and conduct all user-centered design activities and deliverables throughout the product lifecycle.
- Conduct user research, such as contextual inquiries and site visits, and create context of use representations, such as personas, scenarios, and task analyses.
- Collaborate with product management and development to define product features and functionality and identify the best design solutions.
- Produce mockups, prototypes, storyboards and user interface design specifications.
- Perform usability evaluations, such as expert reviews and usability testing.
- Present and promote the results of user research, user interface designs, and usability evaluations to product management and development in a way that advances the user-centered design process in the company.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree in computer-human interaction or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
- At least five years experience in interaction design including extensive experience in designing web applications.
- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and practices and direct professional experience in applying them in a highly technical production environment.
- Strong social and organizational skills.
- Prototyping skills, including proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
