POSITION TITLE: Sr UI Designer/Oracle's System Management Product, Enterprise Manager (Code MH)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide UI design to a number of different development groups, working to enhance the overall user experience for Oracle's System Management product, Enterprise Manager. You will work with development groups in various stages of the development process, assisting with initial designs, doing reviews of existing designs, and helping with usability testing. Ability to work independently, be a self-motivator and well organized.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience: 7 years of product UI design experience. A track record of delivering end-to-end designs for a significant feature or application related to enterprise software, data center automation, or application management.
* Degree/Major: BS/MS degree in UI design or computer science. Extensive experience in both technology and design are required.
* Must have a design portfolio for review, including requirements documents, screen designs, architecture diagrams, and other related information architecture and user interface design artifacts
* Technology: The ability to understand complex, distributed systems, and speak on a highly technical level with programmers. Experience with designing and implementing web-based interfaces is required. Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, DHTML and CSS a plus.
* Design: Knowledge of how to design for web applications and an ability to demonstrate this knowledge.The ability to design new user interfaces and extensions to existing interfaces for complex systems. This includes doing detailed analysis, and the experience to question existing designs and paradigms and provide innovative solutions. You will need to be able to mock up designs, so you need a working knowledge of tools like Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Visio. Experience in Information Architecture is a plus.
* Communications: Excellent spoken and written English skills.
* Diplomacy: The ability to convincingly state your position on designs and priorities. You must exhibit passion for your designs, yet know enough to understand what is possible to do within time and technical constraints.
* Organization: The ability to juggle many different ongoing design tasks.
