Sr Web Designer, Lands' End

Lands’ End is a multi-channel retailer offering products through specialty catalogs, the Internet, and in Sears stores. As an Interactive/UI Designer, you will work with our creative team to apply brand and marketing strategy to an interactive website experience consistent with other brand support deliverables (catalog, advertising, press promotions, more). The ideal candidate will be confident developing site maps and wire-frames, applying the approved design direction across all pages, producing final files and specifications, and coordinating with the development and production groups with minimal supervision. You should be comfortable in a fast-paced dynamic environment and have the ability to dive in and get things done. Maturity, pro-active solutions-based attitude, and accountability are a must.
A successful candidate will have the following:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in interactive / UI design. E-commerce experience preferred.
- A record of designing complex interactive experiences on large-scale websites.
- Thorough knowledge of visual design principals: graphic design, layout, typography, icon development, corporate identity and branding.
- A history with different web design methods like interaction modeling, User Centered Design, and user testing.
- A proven ability to work both independently and as a member of cross-discipline team – influencing objectives, leading design sessions, and delivering against project schedules
- Strong HTML & CSS skills (knowledge of JavaScript, XHTML and RSS a plus)
- Proficiency with latest versions of industry standard web content creation tools: PhotoShop, Image Ready, Dreamweaver, Flash
