POSITION TITLE: UI Design Internships (paid positions)
DURATION: Intership (6 months)
ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Oracle is the world's largest supplier of database software. Oracle software is the world's favorite solution for fully distributed computing. Our products drive applications for sales and e-marketing, accounting, human resources, and manufacturing. These intern positions are for 6 months.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
A design intern provides assistance to senior and principal level user interface designers working on Oracle’s HTML-based applications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* In a program to receive a Bachelors or Masters degree for Industrial Design, Interaction Design, Information Design, Graphic Design, Architecture, Human Factors or Human Computer Interaction.
* Must have an on-line portfolio with some software interaction design examples for review
* Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, Visio, and Excel.
* Prototyping skills (e.g., HTML dHTML, Java Script, Flash) are desired but not required.
* Familiarity with the user-centered design process.
* Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
