JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Web Developer will be a key player in a talented and strategic user interface design team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of web applications. We are looking for an amazing UI Developer with 3+ years of experience coding HTML, DHTML, XHTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Practical knowledge of the DOM, Web Standards, and CSS layout are a must.
In partnership with interaction and visual designers, the Web Developer will work to implement dynamic Web application prototypes based on Photoshop mockups and specs. We're looking for creative problem solvers who are extremely detail-oriented and able to juggle a few projects simultaneously.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience in designing web applications, not just web sites
* Advanced understanding of HTML, D/XHTML, JavaScript, CSS and the DOM
* Experience on multiple projects creating and iteratively refining a user interface design (rapid prototyping)
* Knowledge of web standards, accessibility, and page optimization
* Solid understanding of cross-browser and platform coding requirements
* Able to debug and problem solve
* Proficiency with various design tools, including Adobe PhotoShop
* Knowledge of XML/XSL a plus
* Java/JSP/JSF development experience helpful but not required
* Experience working as part of a usability team helpful, with some knowledge of user interface design principles, interaction design guidelines, user-centered design processes
