INTERACTION DESIGN CONTRACTORS
MOTOROLA INC.
Motorola is looking for Interaction Design Contractors (individuals or
companies) available immediately until the end of October.
We are in need of world-class, interaction designers to design innovative
next generation user-interfaces for wireless and mobile devices. The
interaction design work will be centered on wireless communication products.
Qualifications and Experience
• An advanced degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, User Interface Design or similar relevant topic.
• Demonstrable expertise with multimedia prototyping tools.
• An understanding of human factors issues or the behavioral sciences (demonstrable by training or course-work) will be an advantage.
• Work experience should include UI development for wireless/mobile devices.
Responsibilities and Skills
• Translate requirements into UI flows, detailed screen interactions and simulations.
• Work closely w/ Marketing and software engineering teams to define detailed interactions • Be self-motivating and take leadership and ownership of the design and development of the user interface.
• Integrate effectively into a multidisciplinary group that includes human factors specialists, cognitive and behavioral scientists, interaction designers, industrial designers, and deliver to strict deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Other Requirements
• Excellent verbal, written, artistic and graphical communication skills • Allied interests in any one or more of the following: art, design, sketching, interactive-technology (games etc.), fashion, human behavior
