EFI is a world leader in digital imaging and print management solutions for commercial and enterprise printing.
EFI is looking for a talented Interaction Designer for our Product Design group. As a Interaction Designer, you will be working closely with product managers, engineers and other designers to design and prototype highly usable, sensible and elegant interface solutions for a wide range of EFI software products through user-centered design process.
•You have strong conceptualization skills and ability to provide workflow solutions to complex problems
•You are able to articulate design concepts and solutions verbally and in various written documents as necessary
•You are able to work independently with minimal direction
•You proactively seek feedback from other designers while providing recommendations to complex usability problems to others
•You enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative environment
•You are comfortable taking on a design lead role for the projects assigned
You will be responsible for:
•developing concepts and interface models, designing and prototyping usable interfaces that accurately translate the vision and requirements of the product
•creating information architecture, storyboards, functional diagrams, design guidelines, wireframes and screen mock-ups
•developing extensible, efficient and optimal interface design by being sensitive to and understanding the underlying technology
•ensuring the quality and integrity of the design throughout the development cycle
Qualifications:
1.Bachelor's degree in human-computer interaction, product design, graphic design, or related field
2.Minimum 5-7 years of experience in designing desktop or Web-based applications
3.Proficient in developing information architecture, workflow/interaction diagrams and screen mockups
4.Must demonstrate interface design ability with proven methodology
5.Excellent teamwork and communication skills
6.Proficient in software tools needed to complete the projects successfully: for example, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver or equivalent tools, and other basic prototyping tools
7.Familiarity with the Windows or Macintosh user interface Guidelines a plus.
* Portfolio demonstrating the required skills is a must
