Lead UI Designer for QuickBooks Customer Manager.
Intuit’s flagship small business CRM offering, Customer Manager, needs a creative, experienced UI designer to own and drive user interface design, information architecture, and visual design. This person is obsessed with delivering an excellent customer experience and ensuring that the product is “drop dead simple for mom & pop small businesses to learn and use.
Customer Manager is a part of Intuit’s Innovation Lab – an entrepreneurial group dedicated to rapid innovation and in-depth customer insight that results in WOW solutions for Intuit customers. This position reports to the Customer Manager Business Leader.

- You collaborate effectively with engineers and product management to design solutions that nail user, marketing and brand requirements for in-focus customers.
- You have a deep understanding of design fundamentals including information design, visual design, interaction design, and best practices to achieve ease of use.
- You passionately advocate for the user, leveraging your deep customer knowledge to resolve user experience issues.
- You have track record of collaboratively creating and delivering “best practice implementations of new features for the user interface design:
* Creating user scenarios, paper prototypes, wire frames, storyboards, low + high fidelity prototypes
* Implementing quality designs, from start to finish, and creating design rationales to support those designs for team learning
- You pride yourself on providing objective user feedback to support design concepts
- You take charge of ensuring that we launch new functionality with confidence…
* through usability testing for all features and make sure that every feature undergoes user review prior to implementation
* through benchmarking studies (end-to-end usability performance
metrics) so we know where we stand and have a comparative basis on improvement
- You effectively document and communicate customer profiles to serve as a guiding light during the requirements and design development phases, and to prevent scope creep.
- You enjoy monitoring customer feedback through multiple “listening post channels (including message boards, technical support, customer visits,
etc.) and using that deep customer understanding to inform your opinions about feature enhancement and improvement prioritization.
- You thrive in a high collaborative, interactive cross-functional team work environment.
- You influence others with your persuasive and thoughtful opinions.
- You drive to decisions through respectful and productive disagreement arbitration.
- You have 5+ years of experience in effective application of user-centered design methods to development of software products and web environments
- You have a Masters degree in Graphic Design or a related field
- You are proficient with current design tools (e.g., Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Flash, Dreamweaver)

Along with your resume, please submit a portfolio of your best work that will WOW us!
