Senior Experience Planner(Senior XP) to lead design planning efforts in collaboration with strategists, designers, programmers and other project team members. You will develop and execute research plans , synthesize data and translate findings into strategic frameworks, user-sensitive content, functionality, information architectures, interaction models and page designs. You will share responsibility of strategy definition with Client Partners, and Account Managers.
I. Teamwork & Management
· Demonstrates ownership and enthusiasm for assigned
projects and awareness of other departmental projects
· Remains sensitive to and skilled at delivering work on-
time and on-budget; keeps PM informed; anticipates potential budget issues in advance and helps revise project approach
· In addition: Serves as primary XP on multiple projects
with one client. Leads XP-only projects
· Proactively collaborates and communicates with team
members, efficiently relaying ideas, expert recommendations and points of view in a language and format appropriate to audience
· Takes initiative in defining ambiguous situations,
proactively approaching PM or Account team(s) to discuss scheduled tasks and deliverables when unclear or requires project adjustments
· Skilled at working on interactive web-based and kiosk
applications
· Plans, facilitates and analyses project team and client
work sessions
II. Knowledge Foundation & Understanding
· Conduct stakeholder interview identification, planning,
facilitation and analysis
· Develops user research plans
· Leads user requirements, including planning, executing
and
analysing using various primary and secondary research methods (including as one-on-one interviews (in person or via phone), contextual inquiry, task analysis, surveys, online focus groups, business stakeholder interviews, etc.)
· Leads data extraction and analysis of complex data sets
using affinity diagramming, frameworks or other methods
· Clearly communicates user understanding by developing
process models, user personas and scenarios, reports, and other types of frameworks and models
III. Solution Modelling
Defines, prioritises, and drives consensus on features, functions and content Develops and reviews solution models—including information architectures, taxonomies, wireframes and interaction models—that support user tasks and goals Evangelises user-centered solutions throughout the concepting and design process
IV. Evaluating & Measuring
Directs others in visual design, heuristic and competitive reviews Leads usability testing planning, facilitation and analysis Produces usability testing hi-and low-fidelity prototypes Leads the development of tactical and strategic measurement plans Serves as primary point-of-contact for client for XP issues Organizes and leads immersive client work sessions
V. Client Relations
Is articulate, clear and confident in their client presentation delivery Produces "recipient friendly" deliverables at the appropriate level of fidelity, detail and expertise required to effectively communicate and sell-in to clients

solution's
strategic direction
Strives to inspire a user-centered worldview within clients, demonstrating the benefits of an XP-led process as appropriate given context of client communications

VII. New Business – Internal & External to Network
Is the primary XP on large-scale new business efforts Estimates time and effort for new business activities Clearly communicates the role and value of XP Define and develop project approaches
VIII. XP & Professional Evangelism
Professional organization leadership, speaking, authoring Attends professional conferences and reports back to group Provides thought leadership to the discipline of XP through interaction with peers, online forums, universities, etc.
IX. Experience/Requirements
· 6+ years experience in the following areas:
§ Applying iterative, user-centered design principles to
the
design and development of digital solutions
§ Managing and executing rigorous audience research,
solution
validation and measurement plan development for digital solutions
· Expertise with modelling and prototyping tools including
Visio, HTML/JavaScript, Dreamweaver and/or Illustrator
· Strong written and oral communications and presentations
skills
· Experience as primary XP on medium and large accounts
· Solid interpersonal and teamwork abilities
· Strong leadership and management skills
· Demonstrated critical thinking ability
Education
· Bachelor's degree
· Graduate degree (preferred) in Cognitive Psychology,
Human
Factors, HCI, Design, Design Planning, Anthropology, or related field
