Short Description:
UI Designer will be involved in User Interface design and Other Company products and services. Your eye for consistency and drive for simplicity will allow us to deliver clean, easy to use and functional web applications/sites for consumers.
Complete Description:
UI Designer will be involved in User Interface design and User Research areas for Company products and services. Your eye for consistency and drive for simplicity will allow us to deliver clean, easy to use and functional web applications/sites for consumers.
As a Senior UI Designer based in Columbus, OH, you will be assigned to a variety of projects where you work on a broad range of activities centered on User Interface and User Research issues such as the design and development of process flows, wireframes, and screen specifications. You will work with your Director of User Interface design, other UI designers as well as with Art Directors who support the Visual Design aspect. You will also work closely with clients defining the User Interface problems, and assist in the development of the requirements documents and translate the project needs into practical strategies that support business and programming objectives. Were seeking a Bachelors degree (Masters, Fine Arts preferred) or equivalent experience and 6+ years related experience.
Proven hands-on experience leading project work and interfacing with business owners in to your creative UI Design skills and User Research knowledge will ensure your success in this outstanding career opportunity.
Technical Excellence
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and 6+ years related experience. Minimum of 4 years experience in designing online and consumer software product interfaces.
Expert in the analysis of task flows & interfaces from a usability perspective.
Creates hi-level product flows, navigation maps &screen layouts.
Familiar with industry standard design tools Propose solutions & communicate solutions for task flow and usability challenges on a product-wide basis.
Quickly turns around complex designs
Handles questions about complex material easily and persuasively.
Acts as a recognized and active resource on UI design and computer/human interaction issues Coordinates with development to create solutions or address additional needs for advanced functions.
Creativity
Uses experience and analysis to develop cross-functional, creative and innovative solutions.
Immediately recognizes full complexity, limitations & flexibility of several proposed solutions to a UI problem.
Creates standard solutions for global problems.
Identifies industry trends that will have impact on the Company.
Uses extensive background in user interface, product and multimedia design, scripting and knowledge of prototyping and multiple platforms to develop software interfaces.
Ensures consistency within a business unit.
Questions problem definition and re-frames questions/problems to address underlying issues.
Possess sufficient knowledge and ability to constructively challenge current practices or approaches.
Originates new concepts, strategies, or innovative approaches that have significant impact on the company.

Solid client relationship and solid interpersonal skills Ability to interface with key client and project owners, UI designers and production/ publishing team members to translate design concepts into viable solutions.
Serves in a leadership role in the development of the look and feel of the assigned project Must fully identify and understand design and product requirements and address these in the design solution.
