Job Summary
Motricity is looking for a User experience design intern to join its Product Realization Group to provide interaction design and user research for software and systems that are used by some of the world's largest wireless carriers and brands to deliver content and applications to hundreds of millions of phones and other mobile devices. This individual must have the product managers, engineering and other UX designers to understand and address their requirements..
Duties and Responsibilities
A.) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The User Experience Design Intern will be responsible for providing interaction design for consumer portals and storefronts on mobile devices, Web Devices and Enterprise CMS interfaces.
Work closely with product managers and UX designers to design and architect user experiences for consumer based mobile device storefronts, consumer web-based storefronts and enterprise CMS web-based interfaces.
Design and create user experience architecture diagrams (site maps, task flows) and wireframes.
Create low/high fidelity prototypes in xHTML/CSS/Flash.
Assist in user research and usability testing of user interfaces.
Contribute ideas for improving processes and deliverables.
Job requirements
A.) ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Education:
· Pursuing a 4 year or Masters/PH.d degree in HCI
Minimum Experience:
· 1+ year professional related work experience
Knowledge:
· Human Computer Interaction
Special Skills:
· CSS, xHTML, Javascript, Adobe Photoshop
Analytical Skills:
· Ability to think logically, problem solve and design solutions to solve the problems
· Ability to create mockups and flow diagrams
Interpersonal Skills:
· Strong communication and collaboration skills

B.) DESIRABLE:
Minimum Education:
Recent graduate from a Masters in HCI program
Minimum Experience:
2+ years experience
Knowledge:
HCI, Usability Testing, Interaction Design, Information Architecture, Information Design
Special Skills:
Visio, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash, Hand-coding of XHTML and CSS
Analytical Skills:
Interaction Design, Usability Testing, Architecture diagrams, Wireframes
Interpersonal Skills:
Strong written and oral skills;
