Description:
As a member of the User Experience team at Visto, the User Experience Researcher will perform evaluation, usability testing, analysis and certification of our carrier-branded solutions. This position is responsible for publishing, maintaining and applying usability standards to ensure that the final implementation of all products deliver a satisfying user experience and demonstrably high level of success in key user tasks. This includes all components end to end, across several platforms, comprising the entire new user setup experience: Discovery, selection, provisioning, installation, setup and first use. This is a unique, demanding role in a fast-paced environment that offers the right candidate a chance to work on some of the most exciting professional products in the market today.

Responsibilities include:
•Maintain usability guidelines for the presentation, provisioning and setup of carrier-branded products through wireless operators •Review our Professional Services Group's statements of work to make sure provisioning/setup flows and requirements comply with guidelines •Conduct expert evaluations and audits of direct advertising, point of sale marketing or web-based awareness programs as implemented by the wireless operators •Conduct expert evaluations and audits of completed provisioning and setup processes as implemented by the wireless operators •Publish study findings and conduct interactive reviews with project stakeholders •Work with Visto Professional Services Group to implement necessary improvements •Work with Visto Channel Marketing to maintain current standards and plan future product improvements based on research findings •Identify, prioritize, track, and manage the resolution of usability issues •Conduct additional usability studies to continuously improve the guidelines •This position is full time, on-site at our Redwood Shores office •Occasional travel to test locations may be required
Educational Requirements:
•Degree in Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Human Computer Interaction or Human Factors, or other related discipline with a solid foundation in research design using quantitative and qualitative methods
Required Skills & Experience:
•Minimum of 2-3 years experience conducting usability research in a professional environment •Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - writing sample is required •Experience testing web-based and phone-supported software purchase/download/installation/activation
Bonus Points for:
•Experience conducting usability research for call center and/or voice navigation products •Fluency in French, Italian, German, Spanish or Japanese
