User Interface Analyst (05001865)

Description:
You will design, prototype, and document SAS product user interfaces. Included among your duties are producing wire frame UI concepts and detailed UI design; developing and maintaining UI specifications document; supporting usability evaluations; ensuring user interface consistency within a multiapplication suite; supporting common user interface elements, such as icons and menus; designing and prototyping new user interface controls; conceptualizing, researching, designing, and collaborating on a variety of visual solutions; working with product development team to ensure product usability; and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
-A minimum of two years of graphical user interface design experience, including one year building usability prototypes.
(The level of this position will be determined based on the applicant's education, skills and experience.) -At least two years of experience applying human factors to software development processes.
-Bachelor's degree in graphic design, computer graphics, industrial design, computer science, human-computer interaction, cognitive psychology, or a related field.
-Excellent knowledge of design aesthetics and specifications.
-Excellent knowledge of human-computer interaction techniques and issues for Windows and the World Wide Web platforms.
-Excellent user interface and graphic design knowledge and skills.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills -Ability to focus on details and apply new technology.

Preferences:
-Experience applying 508 accessibility standards to system design.
-Experience with Photoshop, PowerPoint, Dreamweaver, and/or Fireworks.
-Experience building usability prototypes using Flash, Visual Basic, JSP, HTML, and/or Java Swing.
-Master's degree in human factors, human-computer interaction, cognitive psychology, or a related field.
-Knowledge of the retail industry.
