Language Computer Corporation, a leader in Natural Language Processing is seeking a team of top HCI Designers to help develop our suite of products.
We are a research and development firm located in Richardson, Texas, a suburb or Dallas. We have several openings, both for individual contributors and a group leader.
The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of user-centered design coupled with a deep technical understanding of application development. He/She will have a refined artistic capability, a strong technical background and a desire to make usability their top priority.
The ideal candidate will have experience creating documentation (wireframes, scenarios, task flows), developing screen elements (icons, buttons, page designs), and refining interfaces to ease usability. This candidate must be able to make presentations to the customer and management, speak clearly and precisely and work in a team environment to help create the best solutions for our customers.
Mandatory requirements:
„X Masters degree in HCI, Human Factors or related area.
„X Relevant undergraduate degree
„X Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, strong oral and written communications are a must.
„X Experience developing products for a commercial audience.
„X Strong graphic design, storyboarding and rapid prototyping skills in the standard designer toolkit „X Understanding of how to make complex systems and ideas both concise and usable.
„X Evangelist for usability methods and user-centered design „X Ability to thrive in hectic R&D environment ¡V short timeframes, quick methods, iterative development
Desirable
„X 3-5 years experience designing complex interactive systems (software or web interfaces) „X BS in Computer Science, formal education in cognitive science „X Expert skills in the standard designer toolkit (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Director, Dreamweaver, Visio) „X Expert HTML knowledge including CSS .
„X Experience in one or more programming languages
